How the Biospheric Fund Works
At least 10% of platform commission is reinvested into hotel upgrades, regenerative projects, and open research. Here’s the allocation logic.

Every booking on Biospheric contributes to the Biospheric Fund. We commit at least 10% of platform commission (or an equivalent share of revenue) into three streams.
1. Verified hotel upgrades
Partner properties can apply for co-funded improvements: heat pumps, water metering, waste infrastructure, staff training. Projects require baseline data, a clear intervention, and post-install measurement.
2. Regenerative & carbon-removal projects
We prioritize high-quality, additional projects with strong monitoring—kelp restoration, peatland recovery, community reforestation—over commodity offsets of unclear integrity.
3. Open research & standards
A share funds published research, open methodologies, and tools that raise the floor for the entire industry—not only our inventory.
Visibility at every step
At checkout you see an estimate of Fund contribution from your stay. Your Impact Dashboard aggregates stays, CO₂ avoided versus conventional baselines, and dollars reinvested. Annual impact reports summarize deployment.
The Fund is not a guilt tax. It is how a boutique platform scales positive impact beyond the nights you book.
